Note: This article is for Comcast Business Voice customers in New England only. Customers in other regions should refer to the main "Call forwarding and routing" article.

Introduction

Avoid missed calls. Use call forwarding to redirect your calls to another phone number.

You have a variety of options when using Comcast Business Voice's Call Forwarding features. Depending on the situation and your preferences, it will only take a moment for you to redirect calls.

Note: Call forwarding options should not be configured to forward calls to an international number (a number beginning with 011 indicates it is an international number).

Call Forwarding Selective

When you are expecting an important call, but need to be away from the office, use Call Forwarding Selective to forward only those calls you do not want to miss. With this feature, you can create a list of people whose calls will be forwarded to a number you designate (such as your cell phone). When you activate this feature, only calls from those people will be forwarded.

Activate Call Forwarding Selective online

  1. Go to http://web.businessvoice.comcast.net and log in to Business Voice Online.

  2. From the Main Navigation page, click Incoming Calls.

  3. From the Incoming Calls page, click Call Forwarding Selective.

  4. Designate the number to which you want to forward calls, and click Apply.

  5. Click Add, then enter the list of numbers you want to selectively forward, and click OK.

  6. Once your list is saved you can activate, edit and/or delete it.

Note: When creating your list of incoming calls to forward, enter the area code plus the seven-digit number for both local and long-distance numbers, and 011 plus the country code for international calls. You will not be able to answer calls from these designated numbers on your line while Call Forwarding Selective is active. To resume receiving calls on your business line from the designated numbers, deactivate Call Forwarding Selective or remove the numbers from the Call Forwarding Selective list online. Call Forwarding Selective will only forward calls when accurate Caller ID information is available.
