Introduction

To protect your computer from security threats, download Norton™ security software, included at no additional cost as a part of your Comcast Business Internet service.

Before downloading Norton™ security software, be sure that your computer meets the minimum system requirements.

Norton™ for Windows

Check if you already have security software installed. Use the Security Center feature to check the status of anti-virus software and firewall protection.

  • From the classic start menu, select Start > Settings > Control Panel > Security Center.

  • From the start menu, select Start > Control Panel > Security Center.

Operating systems supported:

  • Microsoft Windows XP (32-bit) with Service Pack 2 or later Home/Professional/Media Center

  • Microsoft Windows Vista (32-bit and 64-bit) Starter/Home Basic/Home/Premium/Business/Ultimate

  • Microsoft Windows 7 (32-bit and 64-bit) Starter/Home Basic/Home Premium/Professional/Ultimate

Additional Windows Vista requirements:

  • Must meet minimum Windows Vista operating system requirements

  • Phishing Protection feature available only on 32-bit Internet Explorer and Firefox 2.0 or higher

Scanning supported for these compatible email clients:

  • Outlook Express

  • Outlook

  • Eudora

  • IncrediMail

  • Thunderbird
