At Comcast Business, we want our customers to have access to lightning-fast internet so we strive to provide our customers with the speeds they require to run their business. Over the past five years, Comcast has increased internet speeds for existing customers. The following article explains what to expect when a speed increase is performed. To see a list of approved and compatible devices, refer to the Cable Modem and EMTA device compatibility and capability section.
Increases take place overnight (between midnight and 6am). The process typically takes less than 15 minutes to complete, during which time you will be unable to use your Internet service.
Once complete, your modem should automatically reboot. Open your Internet browser to confirm that your service has been properly restored. Your modem will now deliver the increased speed.

Reference the tables below to ensure your device is compatible with the Comcast Business speed tier level that you subscribe to. Every device listed below is DOCSIS-3 compatible and IPv6 capable.
Note: For Retail purchases, only devices with a check mark in the corresponding Retail column are currently approved for use.
Reference this table to see if your modem is an "End-Of-Life Device” and not recommended for use.
